Our story

A quarter century of championing Nepali craftsmanship, at home and around the world.

Since 2000 · 2057 BS

Kayastha Crafts began its journey in 2057 BS (2000 AD), rooted in a deep passion for Nepal's rich handicraft heritage. For years, we proudly exported these treasures to admirers around the world, sharing a piece of Nepal with every corner of the globe.

But alongside our international journey, we saw a beautiful opportunity closer to home, to give Nepal's incredibly talented artisans a stage in their own domestic market too. So two years ago, we opened our showroom in the heart of Bhaktapur, on the way to the famous Pottery Square, so that locals and visitors alike could discover and celebrate authentic Nepali craftsmanship right where it's made.

We also built our own factory, working hand-in-hand with local craftsmen, creating stable opportunities while keeping centuries-old traditions alive and thriving for generations to come.

Looking ahead, we're excited for what's next: bringing our products online for customers worldwide, growing our factory to empower even more artisans, and one day opening a training center to pass these beautiful skills on to the next generation. For us, this isn't just business, it's a celebration of Nepal's craftsmanship, and after 25+ years, we're just getting started.
